I’m writing a book!

As the Lord has been teaching me a lot about His presence, I’ve been writing….and would like to turn this into a book! I want to encourage others to run after God and His presence.

Tentative Title: God’s Presence Changes Everything

Here is a sneak peak so far:

I’m on a quest. I want to experience the presence of God as much as possible on this side of Heaven. Let me clarify something first, though. I already have God’s presence because I am a follower of Jesus. I came to know Jesus many years ago. I remember asking my dad about the cross of Jesus Christ, and being immediately captured by that message, even at a young age. Someone loved me so much that they would die so I could be forgiven? As I asked questions, I was then drawn to His grace and my heart began to open up to surrender. I didn’t truly understand everything or the implications of what my future with Christ would look like. I just knew that God loved me and He was worth it. Ever since that day I have known God personally because He gave me His Holy Spirit when I surrendered all those years ago. 

So, when I say I’m on a quest, I don’t mean that I’m trying to find God. I mean that I’m trying to know Him more, align with His heart and intentionally be aware of His presence each day. 

This little book is part of my personal journey in just that. I’m opening up my journey to you, hoping and praying that God can use it in your life. In fact, I’m also writing this book for my own journey to know God more. For years, writing has been a way for me to draw closer to the Lord as I process life. I get my thoughts out of my head and onto paper, and then ask the Lord to help me sort it all out. I’m writing this book for me just as much as the person who reads it. If one person is encouraged through this though, it’s all worth it! 

Before you read this book, I want to ask you to consider where you are spiritually. Ultimately, there are only two types of people in this world: those that know Jesus and those that do not. If you do not know Jesus personally, my prayer is that you would see how His presence changes everything. Please open up your heart throughout this book to what God may want to do in your life. You will read about how to have a relationship with Jesus later in this book and some next steps you should consider! If you do know Jesus, you are somewhere specific in your journey with Him. My hope is that you are honest about where you are in the journey and then take obedient steps of faith from that place. Each chapter will have a prayer and reflection questions at the end, to help you process what God may be saying to you. 

Consider voicing a prayer like this to the Lord before you begin: Lord, open up my heart to you and lead me in your ways. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
